Barry Goes Green – an environmentalist, pilgrim and all round great chap. Barry has his own book. “Barry Beats Britain – The Coasters GB Story” by Stu Prince.  Brilliant.  There are only two copies left, so you had better get your skates on if you want a book.

Cost £10.00 including postage within the UK.

The widely acclaimed Barry the

Baton is going on his travels from Northern Ireland, to Scotland, England and back to Ireland.  You can follow him on his wild adventures on horseback and by bike.  He will be following part of the trail of the Spanish Armada.  He will be collecting money for horses.

Here are some quotes from his adventures when doing the Round the Coastal Relay

Some of you may have been watching or even hoping to participate in the ‘Round The Coast of Great Britain Relay. Well I am sure you are likely to be aware the our baton, “Barry” is in the making. As he has a long journey, some of us have decided to give Barry a training run during the VLM. Our webmaster, Bruce, is taking him around with him, injury allowing.image

So it would be great to have your support and cheers for our Barry.

Any spectators-it would be great if you could photograph him too. – Runners World.

“Runners in the south of England will be given the chance to take part in one of the biggest relay races the country has ever seen as Coasters GB take Barry the Baton around the UK’s beautiful coastal paths. The fun begins on May 9 as Barry leaves Blackpool to ‘coast’ in a clockwise direction, around the country.” Southern Runners

The North Highland Way

The North Highland Way was officially launched in 2010.  It was a quiet affair and went off without a hitch.  You can read the book “Creating the North Highland Way” on Lulu.  Fascinating stuff!

Why wouldn’t you want to go here?
