Lurgan is another lively place, with lots of bars and restaurants, and yet more hidden Spanish secrets, not to mention the fact that a few of the folk fought in the Spanish Civil War hailed from Lurgan.
Come to Brownlow House and meet George, have a cup of tea or a meal… the food is fantastic. They also have some wonderful events. Don’t forget that there is an American museum housed in Brownlow House, and a museum of the Irish Rangers (open Saturday mornings 10:30 to 13:00 only. Tours can be organised on request).
Lurgan lake is the biggest lake in Northern Ireland at 59 acres of glorious countryside, created by Lord Brownlow. We think it qualifies to be a candidate for a Green Destination.
