Lurgan is another lively place, with lots of bars and restaurants, and yet more hidden Spanish secrets, not to mention the two Spanish trees which were planted as cuttings of the original Armada tree in County Antrim.  Great shows, history, culture and the biggest lake in Northern Ireland.  Lurgan lake is 59 acres of glorious countryside, created by Lord Brownlow.  Four Lurgan men fought in the Spanish Civil War.

Come to Brownlow House and meet George, have a cup of tea or a meal… the food is fantastic. They also have some wonderful events. Don’t forget that there is an American museum housed in Brownlow House, and a museum of the Irish Rangers (open Saturday mornings 10:30 to 13:00 only.  Tours can be organised on request.
